Welcome to MAMPRA

MAMPRA is comprised of physical medicine and rehabilitation management members from most of the  non  profit hospital and rehab centers in Michigan .  The MAMPRA association promotes networking, professional practice and reimbursement updates, and educational programs through bi-monthly meetings, list serve communication and web site access.

At its roots the Association began with a growing number of developing rehabilitation center leaders in Southeast Michigan in the 1980’s  who felt the need to collaborate regarding their needs and questions that arose.

Early-on this group moved toward a relationship with the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHHA) to help investigate and coordinate the use of an established

State-wide system for measuring outcomes. The UDS – FIM tool was adopted and continues as the tool of choice in Michigan . MAMPRA’s meetings are held at the MHHA offices in Lansing .

The leadership of the Association develops and plans programs with input from its members and is the core communication with the members. This leadership team of  4 officers, elected bi annually by the membership, represents the association body at liaison meeting with other organizations including reimbursement carriers.

Michigan is one of a kind nationally with its large membership of collaborative rehab managers; one of a kind working together. Whether you ask a new member or one that has been around for years about the benefits of belonging to MAMPRA you will get much the same answer – “to share, learn and solidify rehabilitation management practice”.
